About Us
J. Hester Properties was established in 1978 by Janice Hester. Miechel Wiley purchased the company from Janice Hester in 1993. Janice Hester, who is Miechel Wiley’s mother, still works within our organization. We are a full service property management company working exclusively with multi-family properties. Fee management has been our sole source of income since our inception. Our success lies in our personal, hands on approach. We simply manage your property as if it were our own.
We are literally an organized management team. Each member of our staff has experience in all phases of property management.
You will not find a more budget conscious firm. We constantly strive to maintain a budget, which is agreeable to our owners. We closely supervise each complex to see that all monies spent are necessary and are used in the most cost effective manner. Supplies are purchased on an as needed basis and every effort is made to address all painting and make-readies in house. Maintenance personnel are closely supervised and preventative maintenance schedules are followed. Each on-site manager maintains a budget control ledger, which is reviewed weekly by the supervisor to see exactly what has been spent and to assure that operations are kept within budget.
We also give leasing top priority. You can confirm that all of our properties maintain above market occupancies. We provide maximum supervision to our properties and assure that there is someone in the office at all times who is trained in professional leasing techniques and who is willing to courteously provide their full attention to each prospect that visits or calls the property. Even when a property reaches the enviable position of having no vacancies, each prospect should be treated as a potential resident. No one knows what the future holds.
J. Hester Properties is a member of the Dallas, Tarrant County, Austin and National Apartment Associations. As such, we are kept abreast of all legislation that directly affects our industry. We attend all pertinent seminars relating to all phases of multi-family property management.
